Hello! Welcome to my blog. This website was set up to serve two main purposes. The first purpose was so that I could have a place to talk about anything and everything that I hear or think about that is interesting to me! The second reason is that this is a place for me to show off my web / graphic design projects. Please enjoy my blog! By the way, this page looks best in Safari! -Jake Moore

Album Art Thingy

Album Art Thingy is a great app that is sort-of like an add-on for iTunes. It sits up in your menu bar and every time you play a song in iTunes that doesn’t have album art or lyrics, this app will go out and retrieve that data and automatically add it into itunes.

This is my first icon in a long time, and I had a lot of fun making it. I did a LOT of pixel work with the pencil tool, and that was the really fun part :D Click [Here] or on the image to download the ZIP file.

Doesn’t itunes already have a feature that does this?

iTunes will go out and get the Album Art, but not the lyrics. Also, I have a lot of bands in my library that aren’t in the iTunes store, so it won’t get their album art.

Ah, i missed the part about the lyrics, my bad. And on your second point i always thought that itunes queried gracenote for album artwork.

Oh well nevermind :D Nice blog.
