Hello! Welcome to my blog. This website was set up to serve two main purposes. The first purpose was so that I could have a place to talk about anything and everything that I hear or think about that is interesting to me! The second reason is that this is a place for me to show off my web / graphic design projects. Please enjoy my blog! By the way, this page looks best in Safari! -Jake Moore

BuiltNY Notebook Bag

When my sister asked me what I wanted as a graduation gift, it took me a while to come up with anything other than that sweet smelling green paper. But eventually my mind lingered away from money and clung to something that I had seen a while back on one of my favorite tech news sites, Gizmodo. On May 9 they wrote a short little snippet about a neat looking backpack for your precious notebook, macbook in my case. From the image they provided, it almost looked like a bullet-proof vest, but only for your back. You can view their story here. So, I told my sister that I wanted this neat-o macbook backpack. She ordered it for me, and I got it in the mail just yesterday. I chose the stylish black rather than the pukey Olive Green, or the simply disgusting Wood pattern. The first thing I did was strap it on my back, and take some pretty keen photos! Keep reading for some details and pictures.

So, when I slipped this bad boy over my shoulders and fastened the chest strap, It instantly just felt right. This thing is manufactured to curve with your back, so it feels like it’s barely there. Not only does it curve with your back, though. The straps around your shoulders and chest are also form fitting, so it almost looks like this backpack forms to the shape of your body!

Ok, let’s talk space. The main pouch will hold my 13.3″ Macbook, with about 3-4 inches of space above it. There’s also room for a couple folders or books in there. On the right side of the bag is a zipper that opens up to reveal a second pouch with equal amounts of space, I’m guessing THIS is for your books and what-not. On the left shoulder strap is a zipper for a small pouch the size of a cell phone. The hole is tall enough for an iPhone, but I don’t think it’s quite wide enough. I don’t currently own an iPhone *sad face*. The bag is made of a slick neoprene type material that is water resistant, which is perfect for riding your bike to class on rainy days.

Now that that’s out of the way, feast upon these tasty photos I took for you guys.

Btw, you can buy the backpack here.
